The Network Connection Wizard will start. Click the Next button to continue.

Depending on your configuration, you may get a "Network Connection Type" screen. If you do, click the radio button labeled Dial-up to the Internet, then click the Next button.

  Click the radio button labeled
I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN).

Then click the Next button.

Click the radio button labeled
I connect through a phone line and a modem.

Then click the Next button.

In the "Area code" and "Telephone number" box, enter the dial-up access phone number for your location (refer to the support home page for a list of dial-up access numbers).

Then click the Next button.

In the "User name" box, enter your Gallatin River username.

In the "Password" box, enter your Gallatin River password.

Then click the Next button.

Enter a label for this dial-up account
(so you can distinguish it from any other dial-up accounts you may want to create).

Then click the Next button.

The Internet Connection Wizard now asks if you want to setup an
e-mail account with Microsoft Outlook Express. For now, click the "No" radio button, then click the Next button.

To setup an e-mail account later, refer to the E-mail Configuration support page.

You are now ready to begin using your dial-up connection.

Click the Finish button.

To connect using this dial-up connection later, click
Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-up connections -> (your dial-up connection).

You can also click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel, then double-click the
Network and Dial-up Connections icon, then double-click the icon for the dial-up connection you created.

You can configure your computer to automatically connect to the Internet whenever you start your web browser and e-mail program. See the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.
